GREAT location - famous busy road & busroute runs paralel with the beach, has many original art deco buildings. The Berkley has rooftop swim-pool & indoor gym with exercise machines. In front of entrance the patio has mature shady trees to protect you from sun, tables & chairs, Its outside eating & drinking here - its not run by the hotel, but letout to a francaise. Its for general public, not connected to the hotel, but it uses the hotel facilities for making all its food; waiter service, not hotel staff, very busy all day & evening with european & USA various foods, breakfasts, snacks, meals, cocktails 2 for one between 5-7 pm. You pay direct to the francaise. Inside the hotel you can eat from Hotels OWN menu, but the outside patio francaise is really the place to buy sit & eat breakfast - outside has a great atmosphere. Across the busy road are the main entrances to two large top-class luxury hotels which have extensive rich private gardens & pools, they face the beach. The Berkley directs you to a shady paved public pathway between the two hotels which leads you to this massive famous beach. The Berkley has a beach concession there, for its own hotel guests, providing sunbed & towel etc, all included in the Berkley Hotel stay. Distances: half hour journey from Miami Int Airport, also half hour from the Hotel to the Cruise Terminal (subject to traffic). I will stay there for 2-3 nights on my next pre-cruise. I am nearly eighty years old - a female SOLO traveller. Ann Adams from Essex England UK. March 2024.

Had a brilliant stay. My room was clean and spacious, shower with good pressure, AC, mini bar and a coffee maker which I cannot do without. The hotel is nice, clean and very central to all the amenities, beach, transport, restaurants, shops, pharmacy etc. The beach is a 5 minute walk, and it's free. There is an on site cafe, where I ended up dining most evenings as the food was consistently fresh and good quality. The hotel can book day trips with pick up, I booked the West Key one and it was absolutely worth it, I had a chance to visit the The Hemingway Home with his 6 toed cats, also Kermit pie shop has key lime pie of all sorts. All the staff at the hotel were super helpful, firendly and polite, Peter at reception is an absolute star and made sure everything would run smoothly. Ocean drive is a short walk away, the whole area felt very safe day and night. There is a bus 3 minutes from the hotel that takes you directlty to MIA airport and you can reach most places of interest on public transports, which are really cheap. Some of my favourite eats were Rosetta Bakery for pastries, Fratelli la Bufala for neapolitan style pizza, and the basque cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, I also got to try the matcha lavander frappuccino at Starbucks as we don't have those flavours in the UK. I really reccommend picking up some coffee beans from La Coladita Coffee in little Havana, everyone at back home really enjoyed them. I had a great time, was sad to leave and hope to come back very soon.

Location is great, most of places are walking distance. Close to the beach (1 block away), many restaurants and bars around, Walgreens around the corner, liquor store beside the hotel, Ocean dr. and Espanola Way 2 blocks away. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not included however there is a restaurant downstair in the lobby where you can get it for a cost, and it is really good. Although there are a bunch of options along Collins Av as well. The restaurant stays open late and there are tables outside, it looks really nice at night, playlist was cool, really great atmosphere to have a happy hour and some drinks at the end of the day, watching the movement in the street. Waiters are friendly. Pool in the last floor is great. Room was big enough, good pillows, AC worked just fine but the shower was something else though, really good, I loved it. Room was nicely decorated and the finishing like carpet, walls, bathroom floor, sink and walls looked new and nice. Amenities such as shampoo, hair conditioner, liquid soup, tissue and body moisturizer are provided, and they are good quality. Hair drier was not that bad either. Hotel provides 2 chairs at the beach for each room.

The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Our room was small, but efficient and had everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for enjoying South Beach, very walkable! The restaurant leasing the space on the first floor was great! Very fun place to hang out. I have a child living in Miami, so we are there often. I felt this hotel was a great value compared to other hotels we have used in South Beach. We will likely be back for our next stay in Miami.

We turned up early and they were happy to store our luggage and we went for some food and a drink in the Salt restaurant attached which was very nice before going shopping on the main strip which was a five minute walk away, we returned just after 3 and it was happy hour so we had a few cocktails before checking in, the rooms were on floor 8 so had a good view towards the pool and sea, they were clean and spacious.
